Pride Move Over

I have hesitated to do because for lack of a better phrase my PRIDE IS KILLING ME! However, funds are at an all-time low, meaning zilch and the “hurry up and wait” game is most certainly not fun at all when dealing with the government. My biggest concern is our Tucker. As most of you know on March 28th I suffered a stroke. Tucker came home to me telling him I had a headache and needed to go to the E.R. but first I must use the restroom. That is when he heard me falling, seizing and he dialed 911. The bleed on my brain caused the neurosurgeons to have to do an emergency craniotomy to save my life, all the while never expecting me to live, causing the 31 staples in the back of my head. A few days later I awakened much to my doctors’ surprise and have been fighting every since. At 42 I never expected to endure such physical limits, nor did I expect all the financial strain as well, but hey things could be so much worse!! There has never been a source of pride that I have felt as I do with our Tucker! His timing the night of my stroke was impeccable. You see I died THREE times on my way to Flowers Hospital in the ambulance which leads me to believe had he not arrived when he did I would have never survived that night. Since then he has “manned up” as I referred to it in the past, but you guys know no child should have to go through what he is going through. He has always been aware of money and bills because that’s the way I raised him. Not to this extent though. I am 70% paralyzed on my left side and have double vision disabling me from driving, also causing him to miss school in order to make it to my appointments. With no complaining. There’s a sadness about him now and it’s killing me piece by piece every day. He is more of a man now at the age of 17 then most any male I have met in my life. Truth. If this is a way to help alleviate some of that pain then pride be damned I’ll do what is necessary!! Should you feel it in your heart to help, even if it’s just a dollar, it will be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!
