Pride in School Uniform Project

I started this initiative early last year, after honoring an invite by a friend Eghosa A. Agbonifo @etek_notions  to donate shoes to public primary school pupils in rural area, Edo State, Nigeria. So I decided to make uniforms for 10 public schools, (especially schools in rural areas) for kids with bad or torn uniforms. You cannot imagine the kind of uniforms some of these kids go to school with even a mad person may reject some of the uniforms and I am not even exaggerating. Some of the kids uniform where  torn, shrieked or tarted . I know well enough how looking  well dressed can boost confidence, imagine a child waking up everyday with a clean and smart uniform not feeling intimated by his mates in school, that child will want be in school everyday if it’s just to be in that uniform. These uniforms here on my display was the last of the 10 uniform self funded. I didn’t want to take any picture or involve anyone to join until I was done with the schools. I wanted it done for myself not for anyone else sake. You need to see how joyful these pupils where when I brought the uniforms to them. They were screaming in happiness, singing and thanking me. And the satisfaction I felt driving back was unexplainable. This year I am calling on anyone that understand the value of primary education to our society to join me in this cause.  Our mission is to ensure  that 40 schools  with an estimated 2000 pupils benefit from our mission  to “keep a school child dressed”. I want  to be able to continue  to provide uniforms, books and if possible school sandals to does pupils in need.  This is a course close to my heart and any support you can given will be most appreciated. Your donations will go to productions, label and distributions. If you have a school in Benin you would like us to visit please indicate.

P.S. Ivie Omoruyi Idehen is helping to coordinate this fundraising. Gofundme platform in not enabled in Nigeria which is why all funds are going through Ivie. Please be assured that all funds will go into this uniform project.
