Ava Biancarelli is a beautiful, bright, playful, smiley, 10 year old little firecracker. Many of you know her father, Damian Biancarelli, who is one of the most generous, kind hearted men, with a “be there for anyone” soul. Whenever anyone needs help, you know you can count on Damian to be there to help out any way he possibly can in a heartbeat. Now I am asking for family and friends to help Damian, Kim and their families, and go All in for Ava. Ava was diagnosed with ROHHAD about 2 years ago. ROHHAD is an acronym for rapid-onset obesity (RO) with hypothalamic dysregulation (H), hypoventilation (H), and autonomic dysregulation (AD). It is an extremely rare, life-threatening syndrome that affects the autonomic nervous system (which controls involuntary actions like breathing and your heartbeat) and the endocrine system. As of now, there is no cure for ROHHAD so constant monitoring from doctors at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia as well as Lurie's Children Research Hospital in Chicago are a necessity to keep Ava condition manageable.
