The 18th of February marked my 42nd year of life. In the turning towards this new and next chapter I'm being called to proactively invest with more rigor and consistency into my health and preventative care. I would be deeply humbled and in appreciation of your support.

In 2021 a drop in my blood platelets required me to undergo an intensive round of immunotherapy (a chemo-like therapy) treatment to prevent internal bleeding caused by a series of Lupus/auto-immune flares. Recent indications of remerging symptoms are urgently requiring me to turn to more robust and sustained interventions to prevent a relapse, while also improving upon the necessary conditions to support a long and sustained life.

In addition to herbs, diet, exercise, rest and time in nature, regular visits with my specialized medical team (hematology and rheumatology), intravenous vitamin therapy three times a month ($280 per session) and lymphatic drainage massage twice a month ($100 per session) for the remainder of the year will require the purchase of a private individual health insurance policy that supports pre-existing health conditions (with a high deductible) and a health savings account for all out of pocket expenses.

The total amount I'm fundraising for is $16,000. This would offset a great deal of my monthly health expenses until my current employer is able to offer me an employer - sponsored health insurance plan.
