Because of the TV/film production shut down in Los Angeles from COVID-19, I was only able to pay half of my rent from April through September. As a result, I received an eviction notice from my landlord saying I will be evicted on January 31st if I do not pay the $4960 in back rent I owe. I do not have the money. I have depleted my savings and maxed out my credit cards because of COVID. I have applied for grants and relief programs but haven't received anything other than unemployment. Even if the current COVID financial assistance bill passes and I receive $600 stimulus check from the Federal government, I will still owe $4360 in back rent. So I need to raise $4360 by January 31st or will lose my apartment and face the prospect of becoming homeless.
