Prevent Homelessness for Liv and Dave

Hi,

Im Liv and Im a disabled Army Veteran (100% disability rating, non combat related). My partner Dave is currently my caregiver, regularly providing transport to appointments (I have a lot), assistance with mobility, and due to my dominant shoulder being frozen with poor range of motion right now he is also helping me with personal care. We have had some recent financial changes outside of our control and can no longer afford to live where we have since 2021. We are moving our things into storage right now while we work on finding permanent housing. Our current lease is up on June 30, 2025.

We have not been able to find accessible housing in our price range to rent and with the current housing market purchasing a home is not an option. With the number of people needing assistance in the area and our income we do not qualify for assistance at this time (we make too much). We do however have friends who are willing to let us park an RV on their property to live in. We are working with a dealership to get an RV that will be accessible to me with my disabilities (wheelchair for distance/long days out and arm canes for short distances). We have some money to put down but have been informed it is not enough. At the time of writing this we need about $4,000 more to put down in order to get the loan. I have set our goal at $5,000 so that any fees associated with this fundraiser will be covered.
