Supporting Jaclyn w/Stage 2 Breast Cancer

Jaclyn Perez is a loving friend, daughter, sister and aunt. She loves to dance, travel and relax enjoying her favorite movies. She has been an avid student of the bible for many years striving to apply bible standards in her daily life and also teach others what she has learned from the bible. She has supported herself financially and lived on her own for many years. She is a very hardworking and independent woman.

On Oct 5th Jaclyn was laid off from her job where she had been a loyal employee for 11 years. In that same month of October she was getting doctor appointments taken care of before her insurance expired. During her OBGYN exam the doctor didn't like something she saw so she ordered to get her a mammogram and ultrasound. The radiologist saw suspicious activity so she had 4 biopsies, 3 on the tumor and 1 in lymph node.

The 3 came back cancerous and the lymph node was negative. She was diagnosed Nov 1st with Stage 1A Invasive Ductal Breast Cancer. She is only 39 years old with no family history of cancer. Dec 14th she had a lumpectomy with double breast reduction surgery. After this surgery they determined her final diagnosis is actually Stage 2 Invasive Ductal Breast Cancer and that she would not only need radiation but also chemotherapy.

Once she is healed her from her surgery her chemotherapy treatments will start Jan 18th for 20 weeks totaling 16 treatments. First part is once every 2 weeks for 8 weeks 4 treatments total. Part two is once a week for 12 weeks.
