Prestwick Fire Victims: Fajardo Family

Hi My name is Shekinah Fajardo. On June 23rd of 2024, our home faced a devastating fire that greatly affected the whole building 1000 of Prestwick Villas in Calgary Alberta. Unfortunately, none of us could take any of our belongings such as, important documents, a vehicle stuck in the basement, all of our clothing, work equipments that restricts us from going to work, devices that were used for school and work, lastly, our beloved aquarium enclosed pet. We have been living in this building for 7 years and the countless memories and belongings with sentimental values that we lost by this traumatic event have negatively affected us physically, financially, and psychologically. We did not have renter's insurance so we are left with absolutely nothing and we are trying to get back up from scratch because we don't have any family in Canada.

We are in need of financial help for housing. We are a family of 6, including our grandma who is visiting from the Philippines who lost all of her documents, so did the rest of my family.
