Preston Rice hospitalization & recovery
Donation protected
Preston is a 17 year old Junior from Toronto. He currently attends the Jefferson County JVS for auto mechanics. Preston was recently admitted to UPMC Children’s hospital due to numbness/tingling/loss of ability to use his leg. Tests revealed he has a cavernous malformation on his brain and one on his spine. The one on his spine hemorrhaged causing the issues with his legs. This is considered a non accidental spinal injury. Neurosurgeons at UPMC say he will need surgery and rehabilitation. Which could mean months in the hospital. We are asking for help with travel costs for his parents to be able to drive back and forth visiting him in the hospital. Also, possible medical expenses not covered by insurance. Any donation is greatly appreciated.
