Preston Kabrick's Toughest Ride - Stage 3b Cancer
Donation protected
Preston’s toughest ride! Help PK on his road to recovery!
Preston (27) has been diagnosed with Stage 3b Metastatic Testicular Cancer that has metastasized to his groin, abdomen and lungs.
April 2025 - After two trips to the Emergency Department – April 17, 2025, was a misdiagnosis and on April 30, 2025, an emergency surgery led to the discovery of cancer.
May 2025 – After a couple trips to Iowa City for testing and Doctor appointments, it was discovered that the cancer had metastasized.
June 2025 – More doctor appointments and the first round of chemo, scheduled to begin June 23 in Spencer at Abben Cancer Center.
The road ahead is unknown currently as his treatment plan requires 4 rounds of BEP chemotherapy. Each round of chemo is 3 three weeks (week one is 5 days straight, week two is one day, week three is one day). Following chemotherapy, surgery may be needed for cleanup.
Depending on if there are any complications, Preston should finish chemo in September and then back to Iowa City in October for testing and doctor appointments to find out the results of the chemotherapy.
