Prestigious Art Competition travel and accommodation help

Hi , my name is John.

I never ask for help but I have been asked to enter a prestigious art competition. I cannot tell you the details as yet as the rules forbid it until it is completed, but I will as soon as I am able too.

All my life since the age of 10 I have been known as an artist. 52 years now and in all that time I have had the normal daydreams of being recognised for my art and taking part in something like the competition I am now able to take part in.

I have always given more that I receive from my art but this opportunity is too good to miss and is another stepping stone to everything I would love to achieve.

The competition is taking place in Dover and this means travelling and staying overnight. Whilst I have the time, the materials and everything else I need I find that I cannot sadly take part unless I can travel and stay and that's where the problem for me lies.

I am quite unique in what I do even though my subjects and style are traditional with a modern feel as I use Oil Pastels and Ballpoint pens. My Oil Pastels are very unique and if I can actually manage to get there and take part it is my intention to use Oil Pastels.

Sadly, I just do not have enough funds to do this. The only hurdle stopping me taking part and also representing my local community is the funds needed to be able to travel and stay ready for the competition and all that comes with it.

I am not good at asking for help and I never do, but this is almost the dream come true for me and you never know I could even go further in the competition which would be obviously great for me and would also represent the local areas.

I need to accept my invitation by Monday 26th May 2025. If I do not then this small part of my dream could be lost forever,

As I said I do not normally ask for help and even on this occasion I feel a bit strange asking but this is a really important and big opportunity and one I never thought in my wildest dreams would present itself to me, and rest assured I will be doing all I can to progress and represent all of us living in this area (Norfolk).

If you could help me to take this stepping stone to make my drams come true I will be eternally grateful and will do my very best for you.

As it currently stands I cannot take part merely due to not being able to find funds to stay and travel.

Should I not be able to attend for any reason I will ensure that all funds are returned to you
