If you’ve ever been a patient at our small hospital, chances are you may have had the pleasure of meeting Vicky Pressley! Vicky is an RN that has worked at Doctors Memorial Hospital for the past 5 years. In early March, Vicky began having severe back pain that was not improving. After an X-Ray was done, Vicky found out she had a fracture in her spine. The fracture was not caused from injury so the doctors ordered more testing. After an MRI, the doctors found a tumor on her spine. This tumor turned out to be cancer spread from another part of her body. At this time Vicky is still undergoing testing to find out where the tumor has metastasized from. In the meantime she has undergone extensive surgery to remove some of the tumor to make her more comfortable. In the next few months Vicky will be traveling often to receive Chemo and Radiation. Because of all this she is unable to work.  Please help us raise money to support Vicky! She has spent many hours caring for the people of our community, now it’s our turn to help her!
