Gamma Alpha Brothers...

As you all know, the Delta Sig Gamma Alpha chapter has been active at San Diego State University since 1948.

Currently, our chapter is ranked first among all chapters at SDSU (having won the SDSU IFC President's Award in 2024) and is now the largest chapter of Delta Sigma Phi in the country (we currently have 171 active members and 21 prospective new member (formerly known as "pledges").

In 2003, the chapter house was relocated from Lindo Paseo Dr. to its current location on Hardy Dr. in the SDSU Greek Row. Since that time, all of the rents paid by the live-ins (4 private rooms) and collected by the ACB has been used to maintain the property (including a new roof 6 years ago), pay its annual taxes and property insurance. After paying the annual expenses, there has been little left each month to accrue money for major capital expenditures.

Now has come the time to make a major renovation to the property, including bathroom / kitchen remodels and safety critical components such as fire doors, sprinklers, and extinguishers. Frankly speaking, the ACB does not have the funds to make these necessary repairs and renovations.

Due to this impending need, the Gamma Alpha ACB (Phil Aronoff, Erik Johannesen, Pat Calvet, Muggs Stoll and Jimmy Kalb) are appealing to our brothers and life-long friends to financially help us with this project.

So far we have received commitments for about $20K of the needed $95K to complete this endeavor...
...but we need your help in two ways:

1) Make any donation to our Go Fund Me campaign
2) Help us to reach out to other Gamma Alpha Delta Sigs to ask them to join you in making a donation

I can honestly say that joining Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity was a life-changing event for me, with so many of my closest friendships coming from being a part of this organization and while my college years are a distant memory, a week doesn't go by when I am not in contact with at least one of my Gamma Alpha brothers. Friendships that have endured a lifetime.

Perhaps we owe it this (and future) generations of Gamma Alpha members, giving them the same opportunities that brought us together.
