Preserve Yiping's Legacy: Publish His Works

Fundraising for Publication of Yiping’s Collection of Poems and Essays

Mr. Yiping (Li Jianhua), a well-known Chinese poet, writer, editor, and human rights activist, passed away on December 30, 2024, at his home in Ithaca, New York. His passing has left many of his relatives and friends deeply saddened; his posthumous works are greatly cherished by his academic colleagues at home and abroad.

In order to prevent Mr. Yiping's painstaking works and the essence of his life's thoughts from being forgotten or even buried due to his sudden death, famous scholars Hu Ping and Cai Chu and others proposed to publish a "Collection of Yiping's Poems and Essays". The purpose of this book publishing project is to collect Yiping's unpublished posthumous works, select some of his published representative works, correspondence with friends, and comments and commemorative articles from pen pals on his works.

Yiping is a founding member and former director of the Independent Chinese PEN Center. He has served as an editor of Human Rights in China for a long time. For more information about Mr. Yiping, please search the Internet or click on the following link:

《一平詩文集》公益出版募捐倡議

時光飛逝，人生易老；家國苦難，遊子深受。

中國知名詩人、作家、編輯和人權活動家，一平（李建華）先生於2024年12月30日不幸於美國紐約上州的住所辭世。他的離去，讓眾多親朋故友深感悲切；他的遺作，讓海內外學界同仁倍感珍惜。

為了不讓一平先生的嘔心瀝血之作及其平生之思想精華，勿因他的突然離世而淡忘甚至埋沒，著名學者胡平和蔡楚等人倡議出版一部《一平詩文集》。此次出書計畫主要是收集一平尚未發表的遺作，遴選部分已出版的代表作，與友人的往來書信，以及筆友對其作品的點評和追思紀念文章等。
