History lives only as long as people choose to remember it.

We are a group of volunteers based at the Polish Club in Kirkcaldy, Scotland, where we have created the General Stanisław Sosabowski Polish Paratroopers Memorial Room. Our mission is to preserve and share the extraordinary history of the soldiers of the 1st Independent Polish Parachute Brigade, the Cichociemni, Polish Commandos and the soldiers of General Stanisław Maczek.

Everything you see in our Memorial Room has been built through voluntary work, donations and the generosity of people who believe that the sacrifices of these brave men should never be forgotten.

Today we need your help.

Our goal is to purchase a professionally reconstructed World War II uniform of a soldier from the 1st Independent Polish Parachute Brigade, together with original period equipment and authentic historical artefacts. Some of these original items have become increasingly rare and expensive, making them difficult to obtain without public support.

This uniform will become one of the centrepieces of our exhibition, allowing visitors, school groups and future generations to better understand the courage, dedication and sacrifice of the Polish paratroopers who fought alongside the Allies during the Second World War, including during Operation Market Garden.

Every donation, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to preserving this important chapter of Polish and Allied history.
