Preserve The Auditorium at the Douglass

Donation protected
Like all event spaces across the country, The Auditorium has gone dark the past four months due to COVID-19 precautions.  And with no idea when it will be safe to reopen to audiences, we have reached the point where the survival of our venue is at stake.

If you have had a chance to experience the atmosphere and history of the original Douglass High School auditorium during one of our concerts with great artists like Jeff Tweedy, Patty Griffin, Delbert McClinton, John Fullbright and others, if you have attended any of the great Black History Month events, or Poetry and Chill and other spoken word, dance or spiritual celebrations, we are humbly asking for your help in keeping the doors of the Auditorium open.

This is a difficult ask, but one that we hope you can find room in your heart to support.

We love this community and want to continue to serve with educational, creative and inspirational events.  Your donation will ensure we can continue with that mission.

Thank you.
