Help Build Senryoku Martial Arts Academy
Traditional Martial Arts Through Mechanics, Not Mimicry
For over four decades, I have practiced traditional karate — not as a sport, but as a method of cultivating discipline, structure, and the ability to function under pressure. That journey has led me to create Senryoku Martial Arts Academy, a small, principle-driven dojo dedicated to real karate studied through body mechanics, balance, timing, and force — not choreography or mass-produced belt systems.
Senryoku (潜力) means latent or hidden power.
Our approach treats karate as taijutsu — a body method — where kata are studied as maps of force, not frozen forms.
This dojo is intentionally small, serious, and non-sport-oriented.
It is built for people seeking authentic martial study, personal accountability, and long-term development — not trophies or fast promotions.
Why I’m Asking for Support
Senryoku Martial Arts Academy is launching as a shared-space dojo, operating lean and independently. Your support helps cover essential startup costs so tuition can remain reasonable and the dojo can grow deliberately, not commercially.
Initial funding will be used for:
Dojo rental and utilities
Liability insurance specific to martial arts instruction
Protective training equipment
Administrative setup, website, and instructional materials
This is not a franchise.
There are no investors.
There is no corporate backing.
Just a dojo built the old way — carefully, honestly, and with responsibility.
What Makes This Different
Mechanics over mimicry — movement is adapted to the individual, not copied from the instructor
Kata as research — studied for balance, structure, and force vectors
No child black belts — rank reflects maturity, not time served
Deliberate growth — limited enrollment, high standards, real accountability
This dojo exists to preserve function, not nostalgia.
Honorary Recognition
Supporters will be recognized on the dojo’s Virtual Honor Wall, displayed in the training space and on the academy website.
Higher-tier contributors may also receive complimentary training or the option to gift tuition as a scholarship to another student.
This recognition is honorary — not promotional — and reflects the traditional relationship between martial patrons and instruction.
A Personal Note
I am a lifelong martial artist, educator, and former law-enforcement instructor. I am also a single father building something that reflects integrity, discipline, and responsibility — values worth passing on.
If this vision resonates with you, I invite you to stand with us at the beginning.
Thank you for your support.
