If you have driven past Laurel Glen, you may have noticed the gorgeous new, stable stairs on the side of the mansion. The STC Construction Crew did an amazing job! Their estimate was spot on, and the job was done on time. Totally professional!!

We are moving on to the next project. It's time to get our plumbing working. Think what we could do if we had a functioning bathroom!

The estimate to replace the outlet pipe and holding tank is around $5,000. We need to replace the toilet in the downstairs WC as it is ancient and the gaskets and seals are all dried up. We know that fixing plumbing is not the "sexiest" reason to donate, but it will make a major, positive change to what Laurel Glen can offer to the community!

The Laurel Glen Cemetery Association of 1894 in Cuttingsville, VT, oversees the beautiful home (1882), grounds, and mausoleum (1880) of John P. Bowman. Bowman, who made his fortune in leather tanning, brought the earthly remains of his beloved family to Cuttingsville after they predeceased him. A broken man, he built an incredible monument to his love for them; some 140 years later, it still captures the imagination of visitors from all over the world.

Our mission is to preserve and share the historical, architectural, and cultural legacy of John P. Bowman and Laurel Glen through community engagement, educational events, and volunteer opportunities that foster a lasting appreciation for this heritage and ensure its public benefit for generations to come.
