Friends of Hanover is a grassroots organization started to fight back against the industrialization of Hanover County. Our county is facing large scale projects, including hyper-scale data centers, electricity demand upgrades, and other massive future developments, set to destroy thousands of acres of rural land home to residents, delicate ecosystems, and wildlife. We are currently fighting 3 data centers: one on Mountain Rd/33, one on Old Ridge Rd, and one just outside of Ashland called Iron Horse. We are raising money to help our organizers cover the costs of FOIAs, social media ad spend, printing costs, legal fees, and any other fees that come up. Help us fight back and preserve the rural oasis we call home!
