Our Story
In a world racing to simulate genius, where algorithms often drown out nuance, Antoinette & Friends has become a sanctuary for true human connection. What began as a labor of love during the pandemic blossomed into a cultural archive: a space where actors, musicians, scientists, and cultural architects speak from the heart, unedited and unscripted. Our host, Antoinette Peragine—a Brooklyn‑born actress, stand‑up comedian, and interviewer—is devoted to preserving creativity’s soul. Her ability to connect deeply with guests has attracted an extraordinary community of viewers and led to conversations that feel more like time capsules than interviews.
Why This Campaign Matters
Many of the minds who shaped culture did so in the analog age. Their stories are fading at the same time that automated storytelling is exploding. We have one chance to preserve these voices before they disappear forever. Without a permanent archive, an entire generation of artists, scientists, and cultural icons will be lost to a tide of AI‑generated noise.
Antoinette & Friends: Season 2 is our response. It will not be another quick‑cut podcast. Each episode will be professionally filmed and edited, using multi‑camera production and human‑directed storytelling to create archive‑quality records. These long‑form conversations dive deep—celebrating authenticity and legacy rather than chasing likes. We are building an educational resource for researchers, students, and anyone who values genuine human stories.
What Your Donation Supports
We’re raising CAD $111,000 to produce Season 2 and develop a proprietary OTT platform where this archive can live permanently. Your pledge will go directly toward:
Multiple archival episodes – helps us capture more voices from trailblazers, pioneers and everyday heroes before their stories vanish.
High‑quality production – covers multi‑camera filming, professional crew, post‑production editing and visual artistry.
Marketing & outreach – ensures these conversations reach a global audience and inspire the next generation.
OTT platform development – creates a permanent home for the archive where scholars, students and fans can access extended cuts and director’s versions.
Every dollar preserves a piece of cultural history. At industry rates, similar interview shows cost $10,000–$75,000 per episode, and we are committed to transparency: your contribution goes toward producing multiple high‑quality episodes rather than profits or executives.
Meet the Team
Season 2 will again be led by Antoinette, who poured her heart, savings, and soul into Season 1—without investors or a safety net. She is joined by legendary photographer/filmmaker Norman Seeff as director, Ryan Perez as producer, and Jen Nida overseeing social media and content strategy. Together they proved that passion can build what funding alone never could.
We also have commitments from high‑profile guests. Names will be announced soon, but you can expect the same caliber of voices as Season 1: comedian George Lopez, actress Sharon Gless, author Moon Unit Zappa, actor/writer Renée Taylor, and other pioneers. This time, Norman Seeff will direct extended conversations with exclusive behind‑the‑scenes access.
The Urgency
We are living through a transition: an era of icons is gently giving way to legacy. Artificial intelligence is replacing human stories, human connection is diminishing, and cultural libraries are at risk. When these artists leave us, entire worlds go with them. We have one window to preserve this generation and we can’t do it without your help.
