Help Us Relocate Blue Moon Glassworks and Preserve an Austin Legacy!

For over 23+ years, Jim and Rose Berry have poured their hearts into Blue Moon Glassworks, building a cherished stained glass shop in Austin that has guided countless glass artists on their creative journeys. This shop has been more than just a business—it’s been a place where people connect, create, and find inspiration. Now, as Jim and Rose retire, they’re passing this legacy on to us, Kristi Colby and Lindsay Foxx, who have both been deeply committed to Blue Moon as long-time team members.

Blue Moon Glassworks is a place that means the world to us. We don’t just love glass; we genuinely love this shop and the community it has fostered. Taking over Blue Moon is more than a career decision—it’s a commitment to carry forward the Berrys’ legacy and continue providing a welcoming space where Austin’s glass artists, beginners and experts alike, can learn, create, and grow.

Due to redevelopment in historic Hyde Park, we must leave our current location of 18 years. We’re relocating just 4 miles north, where we’ll continue to bring Jim’s vision—first dreamed up on a cocktail napkin—to life. This transition is both exciting and challenging, and we’re reaching out to our beloved community for support in making this move possible.

Here’s how you can help us preserve and expand Blue Moon’s legacy:

Volunteer Your Time: From December 29th to January 6th, we will be CLOSED, and we’ll need all hands on deck! We’re looking for volunteers to help us pack, transport, and set up in our new location. We also need assistance with building workbenches, constructing wooden storage bins for classes, painting, and other setup tasks to make our new space functional and inspiring. Please call our shop to sign up for a volunteer shift for these days—your help means the world to us!

Donate to Our Crowdfunding Effort: Moving a workshop of this scale is costly, and every contribution will help us cover the expenses of relocating equipment, setting up workspaces, and making our new home as welcoming as the last. Any donation, big or small, is greatly appreciated and funds go directly toward building the future of Blue Moon Glassworks.
