The league was founded and is owned by a collective of football and sports-development professionals whose shared vision is rooted in service, not profit:

THE ORIGIN OF THE VISION:

On 15 March 2022, the ISOKO FOOTBALL LEAGUE was formally registered and launched with a clear mission:

to build a competitive, community-based football league that rescues raw talent from obscurity and channels it into a structured, lawful system of growth.

The pilot season proved the vision was valid.

Talents emerged. Communities engaged. Hope was restored.

However, the league soon encountered the harsh realities faced by grassroots football across Africa—lack of sponsorship, infrastructural deficits, and operational hardship. Essential tools such as standard logistics, medical support, equipment, and media coverage were either inadequate or absent. As a result, the league could not run competitively and consistently despite its relevance.
