I’m making this campaign for my grandfather Frank (Sonny) Lepore. He has a rare blood bacteria called Nocardia. This infection caused brain lesions & swelling. He has been hospitalized for the last 2 weeks. He needs special antibiotics to treat this particular bacteria. Treatment is from 6 months to 1 year. These antibiotics will cost him approximately a $700 co-pay per week. He contracted this bacteria in his blood due to a compromised immune system due to chemo therapy for his leukemia. If he’s unable to pay for the antibiotics his condition will worsen. Due to his health issues he is no longer able to work and is on a very tight budget. On top of all this his wife (my grandmother) Beatrice Lepore had emergency surgery yesterday (1/14) to have a pacemaker put in. We are asking help to pay for his prescription & medical cost. My grandfather has always been a hard worker all his life and has always helped others. Any donations will be greatly appreciated during this difficult time.
