Preparing Kaylin For Her Next Phase

Donation protected
July 16, 2019 my daughter Kaylin was involved in an automobile accident involving an 18 wheeler.  She sustained skull fractures, 7 broken vertebrae, her left lung was bruised, her shoulder bone was shattered among other injuries. If you look at the picture of her car you would think it is no way anyone survived that but would you believe my child WALKED to the ambulance after crawling out of her car? Well, I'm here to tell you she did just that. Within 5 minutes of being transported in the ambulance, my daughter flatlined. But by the grace of God, she was revived and is still here fighting. As soon as she made it to the ER she was placed on a ventilator. I had to sign paperwork allowing them to perform immediate brain surgery while being updated on the severity of her condition. After that surgery to stop the brain bleed they discovered and repair the fractured skull we were finally able to see her. She was admitted to the Trauma ICU unit which prevented me from spending the night with her. Around 5am that following Thursday morning I got a call from the Trauma ICU nurse supervisor advising me Kaylin's heart rate had dropped dangerously low & she was not responding well. They asked for verbal permission to rush her back into surgery to repair a 2nd brain bleed they discovered. This time they removed the piece of skull they repaired at first and removed another piece to help control the swelling on her brain. They told me they won't reattach the parts of the skull they removed for several months to monitor both brain bleeds. Those pieces of skull will be frozen until then. As the days passed they began to tell me about more & more injuries both internal and external. As of now after 9 days on life support, her breathing tube was removed and she was taken off the ventilator due to her making progress. After 10 days in the Trauma ICU she was moved to another unit and I am now able to spend the night. Kaylin will be in the hospital for quite a while. Once discharged she will be admitted to an inpatient rehab facility. As a single mother of 4 children, I will be off from both my jobs caring for her. Even with my PTO, sick leave, annual leave, FMLA and savings I am trying to prepare myself financially to be able to care for my children and maintain the responsibilities of my household. I am asking that you donate any small gift to assist if possible. Thanks in advance.
