laying baby jasmyn to rest

Hello everyone!  While Marlon (my husband), Brayden (our almost 4 yr old son), and I are very excited about the upcoming arrival of our daughter Jasmyn who is scheduled to arrive on October 11, 2014, by C-Section, we have been given challenging news lately about Jasmyn's heart not being developed fully or correctly.  We have been told that she has what is called "Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome," which means all of the parts of the left side of her heart are small and she will need a series of surgeries in order to survive. The first surgery will happen immediately after birth, the second surgery at approximately 3 months of age, and third surgery around 2 years of age, and she will possibly need a whole heart transplant around the age of 30.  While we are absolutely asking God for supernatural healing and believing for such, we must prepare for the possible medical journey ahead in the instance that the Lord deems this challenging diagnosis and subsequent surgeries necessary as part of Jasmyn's testimony for her life.  I have been told that I will be hospitalized one month in advance of her arrival (so around September 11) in order for the doctors to be able to closely monitor Jasmyn's situation and adequately prepare for the surgery right after birth.  While we live in Knoxville, TN, I will be hospitalized and Jasmyn will be born in Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN because that is where the best suited medical team to handle Jasmyn's case is located.  This obviously presents quite a challenge for my family, as I will not only be off work for we don't know exactly how long, but I will also be 2 1/2 hours away from my husband while enduring this trial, as he must stay in Knoxville to continue working.  In addition, because he works nights, we have to figure out how to overcome the challenge of how to handle Brayden being able to stay home with Marlon or if I will have to pull Brayden from school and somehow have him with me at the hospital.  Our families are located in Springfield, IL and St. Louis, MO, therefore we unfortunately do not have the option of family being close enough to help.We are reaching out to begin raising funds to help make sure that we can maintain our rent and monthly bills during the time that I will be off work.  We anticipate me having to be off at least 6 months in order to prepare and care for Jasmyn, which means a loss of about $1500 per month, hence the $10,000 goal.We are indeed trusting God to give us wisdom, strength, courage and peace as we navigate all of this.  We thank you in advance for any consideration and subsequent donation made, as we truly believe and rest in the knowledge that God has our back and is in complete control, no matter what it looks like and no matter what it feels like!  If you desire any additional information, please feel free to contact us. Love and Thanks to everyone,Courtney Beverly
