In Loving Memory of Steven Daniel Weare: A Heartbreaking Farewell
It is with hearts heavy with unimaginable sorrow that we write to you today. Our beloved Steven Daniel Weare, at the tender age of just 41, was unable to battle the aggressive cancer with which he was diagnosed just 44 days before. His was a very severe illness, and he passed away far too soon, leaving an unfillable void in the lives of all who knew and cherished him.
Steven was the second son of Michael Weare and Carol Damstra (Feeley), and the younger brother of James. Throughout his life, he brought a unique light and an infectious sense of calm to everyone around him. He was fiercely loyal to those he cares about, a bond he holds sacred with his family and friends. Steven was a natural jokester, always ready with a witty remark or a playful prank that could instantly lighten the mood and bring a smile to your face, even on the toughest days. He was, without a doubt, the most easygoing and chill person to be around, possessing a rare ability to navigate life's complexities with a calm and gentle spirit.
In the weeks leading up to his passing, Steven faced an incredibly challenging and rapid decline in his health. He was admitted to Orlando Health Medical Group on June 19, 2025, where it was quickly realized that his condition had unfortunately worsened significantly. Steven had been battling a devastating neuroendocrine carcinoma, a type of primary cancer of the upper lobe of his lung, complicated by chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), acute respiratory failure, and other serious health issues. His body, weary from this intense fight, finally found its rest.
The loss of Steven has left our family reeling, not only emotionally but also with unexpected financial burdens. We are humbly reaching out for support to honor Steven's memory in a way that truly reflects his peaceful nature and gives us a lasting symbol of his enduring spirit.
We are seeking to raise funds to cover Steven's cremation expenses. In addition, we hope to purchase a special bio-urn that contains a peach tree seed. This bio-urn will allow us to plant a living memorial, a beautiful peach tree that will grow and flourish in Steven's honor, symbolizing new life and continuing cycles, just as he would have wanted. It will be a peaceful and meaningful tribute to a life that ended far too soon.
Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a profound difference and be met with our deepest gratitude as we navigate this incredibly painful time. Your support will help us provide Steven with the respectful farewell he deserves and create a living legacy that will bring comfort to us for years to come. If you are unable to contribute financially, we ask that you please share this fundraiser with your networks and keep our family in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you for your kindness, your compassion, and for aiding us with the difficult days ahead as we say goodbye to our beloved Steven.
With heartfelt thanks,
The Family of Steven Daniel Weare
