What a journey!
It's been almost 4 years since I wrote 'Sienna's Song'. When someone passes, words cannot do feelings justice. In an attempt to convey my condolences towards my dear friend and her family's loss of their dear Sienna Rose Harris (13.04.2013 - 14.10.2014) I wrote a song that became 'Sienna's Song'. Before this song was to be released to the masses, I gained Sienna's parent's blessing to do so. I refuse to benefit financially from such a situation and both parties agreed any profits be donated in Sienna's name to Telethon in order to help other kids in similar situations.
I've invested many thousands of dollars of my own money into this project along with my literal blood, sweat and tears. The money I've spent has gone into recording in multiple professional studios around the country and a session drummer (Chris Webber),
I then decided to scrap everything that had been recorded (except the drums) and go it alone by building my own studio and doing it exactly how I heard in my head. I've now played all instruments and recorded everything (except original drum tracks).
It took some serious funds and time to get my studio to a level where it could produce a high quality product I'd be proud of releasing. I achieved this level in 2018 (keep in mind I started the recording process in 2016). I've pushed the track as hard as I could but I still wasn't satisfied! After careful consideration I chose to hire Rodney Aravena of ‘End of Fashion’ to be the final producer and help me get it across the line. He has done the song justice!
The song is now finished and being mastered by industry heavy weight, Ted Jensen. Ted has mastered Shinedown and Alice In Chains just to name a couple. So as you can imagine Sienna's Song is sounding HUGE!
I HATE CROWDFUNDING! I've believed in this track from day 1 and over the last few years I've put everything I had into it but it's now come down to the crunch, the song now needs to be pressed onto disc (with fancy cover ect) :) this is where you come in.
This "crowdfunding" campaign is simply a pre-order exercise. Pay what you want. The amount needed to press a few hundred discs with recycled cardboard colour printed sleeves is roughly $1500. Again I must reiterate I REFUSE TO PROFIT FROM THIS TRACK. If it does well and reaches a wide audience, then exposure is equal to profit for me.
You're free to donate anything you wish and any amount raised over the target amount of $1500 will be donated to Telethon. In return for your pre-order payment you'll receive the single in physical disc format.
We raised over $30,000 for the children in Africa with my previous single release lets see what we can raise for the kids at home. :)
