As a former NICU mom, I cannot explain enough how much starting the Preemie Parents Club means to me. The Preemie Parents Club-Newark empowers parents of children who are born preterm (before 37 weeks gestation), by providing support, encouragement and resources as they adjust to life and parenting preemies, in the NICU and beyond.  We have been meeting for one year at University Hospital in Newark, and the impact has been amazing. http://www.nj.com/essex/index.ssf/2017/01/nj_woman_is_on_a_mission_to_mentor_moms_of_prematu.html


The Preemie Parents Club provides: (1) NICU Parent Bi-Weekly Support Meetings with families inside of the NICU, in partnership with local city hospitals; (2) NICU Parent Gift Bags including items that are helpful to parents as they socially and emotionally adjust to having a sick child in the NICU; (3) Online support services, resources and information made available to families via the social media group and website, as well as phone and email support for parents.

Your donation will be used to fund our meetings and provide resources to preemie families in the NICU, and resources for parents as they transition from the NICU to home. Your help will allow us to continue to be of service.
