Precious’ road to recovery ❤️‍

Aloha kākou! My name is Jay. As the boyfriend of Precious Palea, I am asking for help on her behalf. Recently, a falling incident occurred that has since resulted in a very traumatic brain injury. What began as a concussion furthered, and about a week after her accident she began suffering from a speech impediment. Given this condition, we are beginning to think the issue is more neurological, and much more serious.

While medical attention / professional clarity is all we want, It is becoming harder and harder to afford continuous appointments, as insurance only goes so far.

I currently am working a full time job to help pay for the majority of the expenses, but due to her condition she is unable to work and we cannot keep up with current and upcoming bills. Precious is waiting to see if she can get TDI from her job, but during this time it is getting more difficult by the day.

Ever since I met Precious she has made me such a happier person and before I met her that seemed impossible. To the ones who know Precious, all they can say is good things. From the aloha she gives to the smile she wears on her face everyday, she is unselfish and goes out of her way to help her friends and family.

If there were words to describe Precious I would say she is a hard worker and her name fits who she is. She works full time at Four Seasons Hualalai as a hostess at Beach Tree restaurant, and is currently in the U.S Army Hawai’i National Guard. Precious is loved by so many and her personality brightens everyone’s day. It would mean the world to us if you could help in any way!
