When I decided to quit my corporate job to own and run a cat sitting company, a lot of people thought I was crazy. “Wait, that’s a real thing?” they’d ask. “Heck yes,” I’d say, “and it’s an amazing company!” We’ve grown and our business has gotten better every day, but most importantly, we were doing what we love and doing it well.
Then COVID stopped our little company in its tracks and has really hit my team.
Over the last year, this team has really become my extended family. We have come to value each and every member of the Precious Fur team. As often as I can, I remind the team that this company is great because of them. They truly put their hearts into this job, and without them, there is no Precious Fur.
We’ve been working to support everyone over the last month from our savings, but I recognize that won’t last long enough. We’ve applied for stimulus funding, but I know that’s unlikely to get here quick enough to make a difference for my sitters. So, I’m looking for ways to build funds and get money into their next pay cycle.
My goal at Precious Fur is to keep our sitters employed and help carry them through this rough patch. We felt so blessed to have a handful of clients reach out asking how you all could help us through this difficult time. Your kindness got me choked up, and I’m amazed by the power of our little community.
This is how you can help. This is the time to show our sitters how much they matter, and how much we appreciate their work. Every penny donated goes directly to them.
Thank you in advance, and know we’ll be back, ready to help and love on those fur babies.
With much love and appreciation,
Kristin Young
