One of the most selfless families need help in a big way.
Friday morning heading to base Gagetown, NB, Nathan Frenette was in an awful car accident. Paramedics, RCMP and firefighters reiterated how lucky he was to be alive. Nate’s wife Sam woke up Friday morning to a phone call that there was an accident.
After stabilizing Nate he was transported the Doctor Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton by ambulance. After having a X-ray and CT scan, it was determined that he had fractured the 2nd and 3rd disc in his lumbar spine. It was determined he would be transported to Saint John to be followed by a neurosurgeon.
Luckily sam’s mom was visiting and was able to watch her children Brock 6, and Lauren 3 so she could go and be with him in Saint John, and hour away from home. Unfortunately sam’s mom isn’t able to stay and watch the children after Tuesday, so they have decided to pay to bring Nate’s mom down from Ontario for a week to help.
Sam is a stay at home mom to 2 beautiful children which they homeschool. Before the accident they liked to adopt and foster dogs, getting a new foster dog only 1 week before the accident taking their total to 3. They also decided to host an international student from Mexico this year to introduce her to Canadian culture who is now at the family home as well.
As one can understand the costs with caring for a family member in hospital can be extensive, however doing it so far from home is a lot to handle. Sam had to rent an Air B&B located 12 minutes from the Saint John hospital.
Paying for an Air B&B,food while in Saint John, driving Nate’s mom here from Ontario, gas so that Sam is able to come back and forth to Fredericton to see her children and exchange student.
I am sure we can all imagine how many other things will be putting a strain on this precious family.
I know and understand that there is not much I can help with medically but it is a dream of mine to help raise some funds so Sam can focus on Nate’s rehabilitation, Brock, Lauren, her exchange student and the dogs without worrying about how much debt they might be incurring.
Nate, and Sam are always the first family to jump and help people no matter what they are dealing with. If you ask anyone in our community about them they will confirm that they are the most dependable, giving , helpful , loving and compassionate individuals.
Please gift what you are able to help ease the life struggle this family is currently facing.
Thank you so much ♥️
