Hi dear friends,
As you know in June my mother Ela was diagnosed with Stage III breast cancer after being misdiagnosed during a 2 year breast cancer screening program done by mammogram. She was told her mammograms were normal but actually were 'probably benign'. We found her cancer during our holiday in Poland when I took her for an ultrasound. She had to buy an early flight home and in August she had a radical mastectomy which required the removal of 18 lymph nodes and has resulted in a lot of pain and stiffness under her arm.
Physiotherapy after her mastectomy is not covered by the medical system and we don't currently have the funds for this.
She is now going through chemotherapy. We are blessed that in Canada her chemotherapy is covered, unfortunately the pre-chemo anti nausea medications are very expensive and are not covered.
I have continued to work part time but I've had to reduce my business hours while being her only caregiver.
If you could help us out with a donation of $10, $20, $50, or $100 we would be very grateful. I want to make sure my mother gets the physio and medications she needs as she is currently retired and does not receive a big pension.
Thank you dear friends. I appreciate your support xx
