This fundraiser is to help the Puerto Rico Coquis in our first ever rugby league game, which is taking place Feb 5th, 2022 @ 6:30PM, in Miami Gardens, Florida!!! We’re aiming to raise as much as possible to aid our players and making this a memorable experience for all!! Our players will be flying in from Feb 3rd and leaving Feb 6th. Money raised will go to the following things:
-uniforms
-team gear for players
-help with hotel costs
-a rental van for player transport
-food for the players from Feb 3rd-Feb 5th
-permits for the field
-referees
-miscellaneous costs
The Coquis are a new INTERNATIONAL mens side aiming to gain sanctioned status with the International Rugby League which will eventually lead to the ability to qualify for the Rugby League World Cup. This first game is the first step in that process in solidifying our ground in representing Puerto Rico through Rugby League play!
