Praying For Keola's Recovery

We are creating this Go Fund me account for our close friends the Kaili Ohana. All funds raised will go to the Kaili Ohana to assist with their finances  and medical expenses.  

  Previous to September 13, 2019 Keola was a happy, mellow & quiet 16 yr old teenager. He was and still is very respectful, just an all around good kid. His passions are doing things on his computer like building his own modem, gaming, hanging with his friends, and Jiu Jitsu. He would go to Jiu Jitsu 2x a week, training a total of 4 hours per week.  He enjoys school and wants to become a computer engineer after graduating.  He had no previous medical problems and was a strong, healthy, bright boy.
  On September 13 we took Keola to his pediatrician and was advised  he was due for his vaccines. He received the flu shot, Meningococcal MCV4P in his left arm and the Meningococcal B (Trumemba) in his right arm. The Dr informed us he would feel under the weather the next couple days. The day after, his right arm got extremely red and swollen and he started suffering from severe headaches.
  Fast forward two weeks and three days after receiving the vaccines, we spent hours on the phone with  Dr's, ER visits and two pediatrician follow ups before Keola was finally admitted to Kapiolani hospital. His symptoms severely worsened and he is now experiencing extreme headaches, dizziness, and erratic eye movements when he opens his eyes.  He is unable to walk, and function like a normal teenager.   Due to his symptoms they ran the following tests:   CT scan, MRI, blood and urine work, chest X-ray, abdominal ultrasound, and last a spinal tap which we were very hesitant to let them do. We were assured the benefits far outweighed the risks. Keola walked into the hospital unassisted prior to the spinal tap. Following the spinal tap Keola is still suffering from previous ailments and now needs a walker and assistance from his dad to walk.  His back is in constant pain and stiffness. We were told he would need a week at the most to heal from the spinal tap but it has been over a week with no relief.  Keola spent a total of six days in the hospital with no results or answers from the Drs’.  No diagnosis or treatment plan was given.  We are now moving forward and working with open minded Drs, therapists, naturopaths,  western and traditional medicine in hopes of helping Keola on the road to recovery. 
  Though we are very blessed that Keola’s personality and mental state haven’t been altered by the vaccines. He is still suffering from headaches, irregular eye movements, light sensitivity, poor balance, back pain and the inability to walk unassisted.  
  I am not against vaccinations but parents please be careful and please do your research before vaccinating your children. Especially if it is a new vaccine in the market. There is not enough time for all the serious side effects to be reported and released to the public.

These past few weeks have been difficult as Keola's parents have been by his side and need all the support they can get.  They are blessed to be surrounded by wonderful family and friends who offer support and help in this time of need.  Please share this post to educate more families about possible side effects of all new vaccinations.  Mahalo nui loa
