Help Tank with his emergency vet bills

Donation protected

Hi everyone, on Saturday August 24th - my 6.5 year old Siberian Husky named Tank was diagnosed with Pneumothorax .

His Medical Story:
Saturday August 24 - I noticed around 9PM that he had a very difficult time breathing and I rushed him to the emergency vet in my city.  After initial diagnosis and X-rays, the vet told me that this is a life threatening condition and basically his lungs were collapsing and that they needed to perform a procedure called Thoracocentesis to get all the excess air that was stuck in his chest wall and give him oxygen therapy in their ICU unit. On the first night, they managed to take out close to 2000mL of fluids from his right lung and about 200mL of fluids from his left.

Sunday August 25 - In the morning, they noticed he still had difficulty breathing and continued to monitor and switched to a chest tube to remove the excess fluids. They removed roughly 200~500mL of fluids throughout the day.

Monday August 26 - They performed a CT scan and thankfully... nothing was wrong with his lungs (lumps, bolas, tumors, foxtails, foreign objects) except a few parts that were irritated. The vets told us the small areas of irritation were not a big concern and that surgery would not be needed as of yet. Vets told me they don't have a good idea of what actually caused his Pneumothorax... and it just might be spontaneous (which I read on the internet, that this does happen sometimes...). They wanted to give Tank a fighting chance to see if his lungs can self heal and stop leaking air.

Tuesday August 27 - The latest update I got was Aug 27 at 5PM. He's doing a lot better, he finally ate after not eating for 3 days. They removed his oxygen tube so he doesn't need oxygen therapy anymore. His lungs are fluctuating between <1- to 200mL but it's very minimal for his size according to the vet. They're going to monitor him for another 24 hours. They basically said he can either come home tomorrow end of day if the leakage shows signs of gradual self-healing. Tomorrow they're going to test turning the chest tube off to see if he does fine without it. Vet told me I have the option of surgery still but I'm hoping he can make it through.

If you know me, you probably have met Tank before in the past or have seen from my numerous social media posts about him. Tank can be described as gentle, DERPY, loving, good-mannered, & 200% friendly. He's being a good strong boy and is fighting this. Throughout this whole ordeal, the medical bills racked up to $10,000 and still ongoing since he's still in the hospital. It's been a very emotional time for my parents and I as this came as a complete surprise since he was super healthy before... all we wanted to do was to save him and told the vets to do whatever is necessary.

That being said, I'd like to ask for help on the medical bills. My whole family and would really appreciate it if any donation is made, even if it's just a few dollars. But even if you can't, it's totally fine! I'd love for you guys to keep tank in your prayers. I'll be sure to reach out to everyone who's helped to try to repay the favor.

Update: THANK YOU EVERYONE, the support is overwhelming. Just was updated to add my venmo since gofundme takes charges. My venmo is @yingsters.

Excuse my rambles but thank you everyone for reading this.
