Dale & Shannon Beddard

On Sunday, 6/15, Dale was at his Dad Richard's house for Father's Day.  During his visit he began experiencing heart attack symptoms, which he was all too familiar with.  18 years ago, Dale had bypass surgery.

While at the hospital, in the cath lab, we almost lost Dale and he coded.  This did even more damage to his frail heart.  The last week and half has truly been a blur.  At any given moment, Dale's condition is unknown.  We have had ups where we saw signs of slight improvement toward stable and we are now seeing declines.  

He is on so many different medications, monitoring devices, in a medically induced coma and is intubated. 
 

As many know, Dale and Shannon are soul mates and were recently reunited and married, after what was undoubtedly the greatest love story many of us have witnessed.  Shannon moved from California to Georgia and has been attempting to get her furniture business off the ground.  She has a small booth in an antique mall but at this moment she is by Dale's side every moment possible.  

Georgia State does not have disability insurance and Dale did not qualify for private disability insurance.  His health insurance is VA and he is currently at Gwinnett Medical Center but will be transferred to either St. Joseph's in Atlanta or a hospital in Virginia.  Either will be a financial tragedy for Shannon.  Many have asked how they can help.  Anyone who knows Dale, knows that his number one priority is Shannon.  He would want us to take care of her to be by his side during his recovery.
