I have chosen to start a go fund me because a dear friend sent me a letter breaking the news of her recent diagnosis of Pancreatic Cancer. She is embarking on a difficult road to regain her health. The added financial burdens are one hurdle I hope we can all eliminate for her. All proceeds of this page will go to Carol to assist in paying for her bills and care.
To give you a time line on what has been going on:
1/7/2016- She had a primary care appointment which her doctor sent her immediately to the hospital for appearing jaundiced. At the ER after undergoing testing they discovered she had a blocked bile duct, stones in her kidney, and lesions on her liver and a mass on her pancreas.
She began to hemorrhage and was admitted until 1/14/16.
Since 1/14/16 she has undergone every test you could think of; Ultra sounds, MRI, CAT scans, endoscopy, to name a few. She also had a stint put in her liver to drain the bile.
She will now have a portal inserted into her chest for the chemotherapy she will undergo to fight this cancer.
She is also suffering from diabetic neuropathy and Charcot feet that is causing severe pain and making it difficult for her to get around in this cold weather.
Carol is a kind soul the following is an excerpt from a recent letter I received from her; "The lord has chosen to burden me with this and I have to fight all I can to live.... All I ask is your prayers and continued love and friendship as I travel this horrible path."
