Baby Jarrett Anderson was born on August 30th, 2015 at Archbald hospital after an emergency cesarean due to a prolapsed cord. Jarrett was born with no heartbeat, and it took over 8.5 minutes to revive him. Doctors are unsure how long he was without oxygen. He was immediately transferred to Tallahassee NICU, where he began a 72 hour cooling process to prevent further brain damage. Jarrett has underwent multiple x-rays, MRIs, and EEGs to try and determine the extent of his brain damage, and so far the damage looks severe. However truth be told, prayer is powerful, God is in the healing business, and the brain is an amazing organ capable of rewiring and rerouting in ways doctors cannot understand! This little man has moved mountains in his short time here already! Jarretts family is optimistic and committed to giving him the best life possible, however they have been hit with many unexpected medical expenses since his birth, and could use any donations to help them through this difficult time. Jarrett is still currently in the Jacksonville NICU (about 3.5 hours away from home) and is scheduled to undergo gtube surgery shortly. In addition to this he will require many ongoing therapies and return visits to and from Jacksonville for his care. The family greatly appreciates any donations and especially PRAYERS for their little man. God bless!
