Hello everyone. My cousin Alexa Felix (16) collapsed during a Cibola vs. Kofa soccer game on Wednesday December 17th, 2014. She is a junior at Cibola High School. Right after she collapsed during the game she was then admitted to the ER at YRMC, where the staff told us that she wasn't going to make it. She had no oxygen to her brain and wasn't breathing on her own in the ER. She had to be flown to Phoenix Childrens Hospital the same night. She is currently staying there and we now know the cause of her collapse. It is an artery and she is scheduled January 5th, 2015 for bypass surgery, she originally was having it earlier but the surgeon didn't want to risk any more brain trauma and we found out her lung seems to be slightly collapsed as well.

She has short term memory loss as a cause of the brain trauma but she is recovering well. We are so lucky to still have her with us and she is always on our minds.

I understand our goal is to raise $10,000 but anything helps. I decided that since Alexa will be needing surgery & will be staying longer in Phoenix than intended, it will be a great help to my aunt, Alexa and family.
