Maria Paulina Garces Alzate

Maria Paulina, a vivacious, loving, and beautiful 10-year old girl is fighting for her life and she needs your help! The 4th-grade student from the Robert L. Craig School in Moonachie suffered a traumatic brain aneurysm on Saturday, Oct. 24, sending her into a sudden whirlwind of pain, despair and uncertainty. Maria Paulina has undergone emergency neurosurgery, and is in critical condition at a pediatric intensive care unit. Doctors say her road to recovery will be long and very difficult. Maria Paulina’s family has limited healthcare coverage, and the medical care she requires is very expensive. On top of all of this, her mom Diana is 38 weeks pregnant and is currently not working. Maria Paulina’s step-father Giovanny will need to take time out of work to be with young Maria Paulina during her recovery and to care for the new baby on the way. This will create more financial hardship on the family. We are asking you to please see it in your heart to help them through this difficult time.
