Update- The holidays should be a time to celebrate, spend time with loved ones and prepare for a new year full of adventures. Christmas this year will look quite different. Instead of hanging up baby’s first Christmas, they will be hanging angel wings on the tree. There will not be matching Pj’s or the new Xbox Kohltan wanted under the tree. The excitement of watching your children open their presents will be overshadowed by pain. Losing a child is something no parent should have to experience, a heartbreak that is completely unfathomable. The Ward’s are living every parents’ worst nightmare. On top of that, Kohltan‘s medical bills are starting to come in (life flight, brain surgery, surgery on his leg, MRIs, CT scans, X-rays, 5 days in the pediatric ICU). The driver of the vehicle had the minimum policy required and it will not cover the majority of the medical bills that were accrued. Asher and Caleb have missed work since the accident.
