In efforts to help Colt Lucky in his complete healing from an anoxic brain injury caused by a near drowning accident in August, 2020; there are extra medical treatments and equipment needed which are not covered by insurance. The areas of Colt Lucky's brain that was affected are his motor skills & vision areas. Colt Lucky has been receiving hyperbaric oxygen treatments with Dr. Harch in Louisiana. We have noticed improvements from these treatments and Dr. Harch has recommended an at-home oxygen chamber so Colt Lucky will be able to continue to receive the benefits from these treatments. We are still working with Dr. Harch to determine what type of at-home chamber will be recommended and we have been told the costs will be between $8,000 to $13,000.
There two other types of treatments that have also been recommended which are a Stem Cell Treatment and Exsome Therapy. We were able to find a doctor in Colorado who can perform both and the cost has been estimated at $9,000 for the Stem Cell Treatment and $7,500 for the Exsome Therapy.
Colt Lucky has an appointment scheduled to see the doctor in Colorado at the end of this month, January 2021. Wade and RandiLynn will need to travel with Colt Lucky to Colorado via an RV/Motorhome because of the equipment necessary for Colt Lucky's hourly care due to the tracheostomy and g-tube for feeding; therefore, travel expenses are also needed.
We are forever thankful and appreciative for your prayers and support. Every penny offered in donation to help our sweet Cowboy Colt Lucky to heal is a lucky penny closer to seeing Colt Lucky smile again!
