Blade Robert Bako was born on August 10, 2015 with a Giant Omphaolocele. 1 out of 100,000 babies are born this way and he was our miracle Hero. Blade brought many people together and he has spread Omphalocele awareness. He provided hope and taught us the true meaning of pure and innocent love. He brought out kindness in complete strangers with his Prayers for Blade facebook page.
We are so very touched and blessed to have complete strangers saying how our beautiful Blade has touched their lives and impacted their families in a positive way. There has been such an outpouring of support and prayers. From our families, strangers and our Prayer Warrior Friends, who are our extended family.
He fought the fight, but was too precious to remain on Earth. Blade touched all of our lives for 48 days and swept across our Nation and the globe. Blade taught us the lessons of never really knowing how much time we have to share with the special people in our lives.
On September 28, 2015, our world shattered.
He leaves behind his Mommy, Daddy and Sister, along with his ENTIRE extended family, especially his Prayer Warriors.
An outpouring response to help offset medical bills and now, including funeral arragements have been asked by many. We have been reluctant, for the past 48 days, not to open a Gofundme account, although the requests continued to pour in. We wanted all Prayer Warriors to concentrate on praying for our precious miracle and not monetary donations.
The time has come, sadly. . . we bow our heads down, kneel to you all and thank you for all your prayers, but now, are in need of the support. Blade has incurred bills from all the Specialty Doctors prior to his birth, 3 surgical teams and staff, NICU, Ronald McDonald House, Step-Down, funeral arrangements and more. All of the bills have yet to arrive, but any help to defer the costs will help us immensly.
