Medical Expenses for Maverick

Our son, Maverick was diagnosed with aortic stenosis shortly after birth on 12/14/2017 and had to be airlifted to Oschner at only 12 hours old to have the first of three open heart surgeries. His first surgery was on 12/18/2017 at only 4 days old. The hospital stay for this surgery is one month. He is currently in PICU and doing very well. They closed his chest this morning but he still has a long way to go as far as the recovery. The second surgery will be done at 6 months and the last is usually done around 3 years. This was defiantly unexpected and took us by surprise. The cause is unknown. The doctors say it just happens with some babies and can’t be detected with an ultrasound. Any kind donation would help with medical expenses, food, and lodging costs over the next month that we will be here for recovery.
