My name is Daryl, and I am reaching out to ask for help for one of the most generous, kind-hearted souls on this planet. He’s not just my father-in-law—he’s a man who has touched countless lives with his warmth, wisdom, and unwavering faith. He’s an incredible grandfather to my kids, a loving husband, a devoted father, a mentor, a friend, and a rock to so many who know him.

Don Johnson—known to many as Duck or simply GPA—has suffered an acute subarachnoid hemorrhage, a life-threatening brain bleed that requires urgent and intensive medical care. Right now, he’s fighting one of the toughest battles of his life, surrounded by an incredible medical team in Houston and uplifted by the prayers of our strong, faithful community in Riesel, Bremond, and beyond.

Duck has always been the kind of man who gives without hesitation. Whether coaching softball, being a friend in times of need, or leading with his faith, he has never asked for anything in return. Now, in this unimaginable moment, we are asking on his behalf.
