Friends, we want to share the story of a very special little girl in our Esperanza House family.
Aliah Vásquez was born on September 8, 2021. From her very first days of life, she faced unimaginable challenges. Doctors discovered she had Hirschsprung’s disease — a rare intestinal disorder. At just a few days old, she was transferred to Birmingham Children’s Hospital for emergency care.
Over the past three years, Aliah has endured seven surgeries, including the complete removal of her large intestine. This past June, her doctors removed her ostomy, but her small intestine is not strong enough to function properly. Because of this, she has been referred to Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C., where a specialized colorectal team will evaluate her for therapies or further surgery.
Thanks be to God, her medical treatment is covered by insurance. However, the family must pay for all travel, lodging, meals, and other expenses — and the repeated trips to Washington, D.C. are a heavy financial burden.
We are prayerfully seeking to raise $5,000 to ease this burden, allowing her parents to focus fully on Aliah’s care.
Here’s how you can help:
-Give a financial gift — no amount is too small.
-Share Aliah’s story with your community.
-Join us in prayer for wisdom for her doctors, strength for her family, and full healing for Aliah.
The Vásquez family has been part of Esperanza House for nearly 10 years. We have seen their faith, their love, and their perseverance, even in the hardest seasons. Together, as a family in Christ, we can lift them up in this moment of need.
Please keep this sweet girl and her family in your prayers, and if you feel led, consider blessing them through their GoFundMe.
