UPDATE!!

Apologies it has taken so long to update everyone. We have had a lot of information thrown at us.

My mom was misdiagnosed and underwent chemo for the wrong disease. Since the last update she has had an additional surgery to remove the disease from her abdomen. She just had new scans completed yesterday and the results will determine how my mom moves forward.

if the scans show additional disease she will stay here to receive treatment. If the scans don’t show any new masses she will move home back east to finish treatment.

Housing in Seattle is crazy, 7k for 3 months stay. If she moves home she will need almost just as much to move. So we are asking for donations so that she doesn’t continue to stress about it.

Her new diagnosis is Stage 4 Ewings Sarcoma. If you have any questions, please don’t be afraid to ask.

My name is Nikayla and my family is asking that you support us in this time of need. Whether it be by praying or donating what you can. My mom is one of the toughest and most resilient people I know but she is gonna need a village to get through this. Our family needs your support.

In mid-July, My mom went to the doctor thinking she had a kidney infection. Instead, doctors discovered a mass on her pancreas that was cutting off blood supply to her spleen and had already caused a partial blockage. She quickly underwent surgery, during which her spleen and a large portion of her pancreas were removed.

Unfortunately, the surgeons were unable to remove the entire mass. Just yesterday, my mom received the heartbreaking news that she has stage 3 pancreatic cancer. She will be undergoing a PET scan next week and preparing for the next phase of her treatment journey.

Mom has been unable to work during this time, and the mounting medical bills and loss of income are creating overwhelming financial stress. Anyone who knows my mom knows her strength, kindness, and resilience — but right now, she needs as much help and support as possible.

This fundraiser will go toward:

• Travel costs for appointments and scans

• Living expenses while my mom is unable to work
