This is my beautiful Sadie, she is 17 years old, but she is not a child, she has been Battling Ewings Sarcoma for 5 1/2 years. She has lost her entire adolescence to cancer! These years have been long, painful, and loaded with trauma! In June of 2023, after a long hospital stay and another round of radiation, Sadie was placed in hospice care, much to our devastation! She will still win her war, just not in the way we hoped and prayed for. We don't know how much time we have left with our sweet Lou (nickname). They aren't wrong when they say this disease affects the whole family! It has been an emotional and physical roller coaster! In Oct 2021, Sadie's Dad had a rare stroke episode leaving him disabled, but we are grateful and blessed beyond measure he is with us as all the doctor's say it's a miracle. That leaves me, mom the only employed parent and caregiver of two patients.

Sadie, my little miracle baby turns 18 on Oct 6th. This birthday is a milestone, not only making her an adult, but we weren't sure she would celebrate this birthday. We also don't know if this will be her forever birthday! With this said, we want to give her the most special birthday and holiday season we can! However, between my paycheck (teacher) and her dad's monthly disability check, there is very little left after bills and living expenses.

In order to make her as comfortable as possible, I have been making repairs and redecorating our home and we are doing a complete reno on her room, making it her dream sanctuary. We have been able to get most of it done, except replacing the floors in our home as it is financially unattainable, but desparately needed!.

We are raising funds to both give her the a fabulous birthday and holiday season, but also finish the things in the house that have been neglected due to illness and lack of time and money. The floors being top priority.
