In the blink of an eye, anyone can be touched by an unexpected accident or devastating illness, and a medical crisis is made worse when it becomes a financial crisis.
Dear family, friends, colleagues, all the good people around the world!
This is Joseph Asebedo, aka “Uncle Joe” or “Yaqui Joe”. He was born in 1940 and served in Active Duty in the Military from 1958 to 1962 before being Honorably discharged.
Sadly, on Thursday, May 19th, 2022, we were informed that he had been in an awful vehicle accident in which he suffered a broken back and required major surgery on his stomach. Doctors have kept Uncle Joe heavily sedated in the ICU due to his critical condition and in an effort to keep him in a calm and relaxed state.
It breaks our hearts to see him under these circumstances, and we are hopeful and prayerful that he will show signs of improvement soon. However, Uncle Joe has a long road to recovery and may be staring down the barrel of an intimidating future of medical expenses and other unknown living costs.
It is with heavy and humble hearts, we come to you in an effort to raise funds for Uncle Joe’s medical expenses and emergency funds for anything he may need, currently and in the near future. Our goal is to help him get through this tragic time as healthy as possible. Anything you can donate to Uncle Joe will be greatly appreciated and we want to say thank you in advance for any and all support.
If you would like to assist with any financial burdens, any donation through GoFundMe would be greatly appreciated. All funds raised will go directly to Uncle Joe’s medical and housing expenses during his recovery in ICU.
On behalf of Uncle Joe, his friends and the entire Asebedo family, I appreciate the outpour of love, prayers and sincere concern shown over the past couple weeks and undoubtedly, in the months to come.
