Faith Over Fear! Supporting Our Mother's Healing Journey

Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and strangers,

We’re four sisters reaching out with humble hearts during one of the most challenging times our family has ever faced. Our beautiful mother, a woman of faith, strength, and kindness, is currently fighting for her life. She’s been at Westchester Medical Center since July 3rd, 2025, battling severe organ failure and needs both a kidney transplant and a second liver transplant.

She had her first liver transplant 30 years ago during her last pregnancy, a pregnancy that nearly cost her life. By the grace of God, she survived and lived a long and healthy life for many years. But after the passing of our grandmother, her mother. A doctor negligently prescribed her antidepressants without properly reviewing her complex medical history. That one oversight caused a devastating chain reaction in her body, leading us to where we are now.

She has been approved for both transplants but remains on the waiting list. Unfortunately, her condition has not improved. Her doctors decided to move her from Westchester Medical Center to Mount Sinai in Manhattan, a hospital even further from our home. This change, while medically necessary, will add to the logistical and emotional challenges we’re already navigating as a family.

We’ve recently learned that her stay may extend beyond four months, though the exact duration remains uncertain. We’re deeply grateful for her medical team and will remain hopeful for healing, but the emotional and financial toll has become overwhelming.

We are a middle-class, working family, not asking because we have nothing, but because even “enough” doesn’t feel like enough in moments like this. Between our stepfather needing to stay near the hospital, which is now even farther away, and covering nightly hotel stays, lost wages, transportation, meals, and growing medical expenses, this situation has stretched our family thin. On the nights he can’t get a hotel, it becomes a grueling six-hour round trip, compounding the emotional and physical exhaustion.

On top of it all, there are still personal bills to manage, mortgage, car payments, insurance, credit cards, and the care of their beloved dog, Noodles. Noodles has been a source of comfort and emotional support through these dark times, and we’re committed to keeping up with his food, treatments, and vaccinations.

We’re not asking for sympathy, we’re asking for support from faithful hearts who know what it’s like to carry a burden too heavy to hold alone. If you feel moved to help, whether through a donation or simply sharing this page, we will be forever grateful.

Every dollar raised goes directly toward:
• Hotel/lodging for our stepfather
• Food and travel expenses during her hospital stay
• Coverage for lost income while we care for her
• Personal household bills (mortgage, car, insurance, credit cards)
• Pet care for Noodles (meals, shots, and treatments)
• Preparing her home for a safe, peaceful return (God willing)

We believe in prayer.
We believe in miracles.
And we believe in the kindness of those who understand the weight of family love.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
